Mumbai, Apr 20: Allegedly inspired from Hollywoods' The Hollow Man', Emraan Hashmi's recently released movie Mr X seems to have had a palpable impact on its audiences as it has garnered a fair number of footfalls that got nearly Rs 14 Crores in its kitty.

Taran Adarsh, who is well known as a movie trade analyst crunched these numbers for the movie in his tweet - "#MrX Fri 4.50
cr, Sat 4.39 cr, Sun 5.10 cr. Total: ₹ 13.99 cr. India biz." While Komal Nahta said, "Mr. X is a clear case of a job done half-heartedly and without much conviction. It will fail to strike a chord with the audience and will therefore flop miserably at the box office."

Rajeev Masand too did not speak too favourably of the movie, stating that the script was put together quite lazily and without employing much logic. He called it a "singularly humourless film that's sorely lacking in thrills, a coherent plot and even basic common sense."

Starring Amyra Dastur opposite Emraan Hashmi, the movie tells the story of a man who goes invisible and uses it to dispense justice thereby turning into a vigilante for his people. The man is Raghuram Rathore who is an anti-terrorist department officer and his brand of justice is often coloured by his own beliefs and thoughts.

Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the movie has been produced by Vishesh films, and also stars Arunoday Singh.
