Lancashire batsman hits record 350 runs in One-Day match

London, April 20 (IANS): Young Lancashire all-rounder Liam Livingstone has notched a One-Day match world record knock of 350 runs in just 138 balls.

Playing for Nantwitch Town against Caldy in an ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) National Club Championship match at Whitehouse Lane on Sunday, Livingstone hit an astonishing 34 fours and 27 sixes from 138 balls -- 298 runs coming in boundaries alone.

The England and Wales Cricket Board said his innings was the highest recorded in any form of One-Day match, beating the previous record of 334 not out by Nikhilesh Surendran in an Indian club match in Hyderabad.

Livingstone hit the 200-mark in 37 balls before reaching 300 from 123 balls with 31 fours and 22 sixes.

India’s Rohit Sharma owns the highest score in One-Day-International (ODI) cricket, a whopping 264 against Sri Lanka in 2014.
