Next Green Lantern will be black?

Los Angeles, April 20 (IANS): Warner Bros is reportedly looking for a black Green Lantern for the upcoming film reboot "Green Lantern (2020)".

According to the latest episode of “Meet the Movie Press”, the new Green Lantern will be similar to the fictional character John Stewart, who appears in the animated "Justice League" and "Justice League Unlimited" series, reports aceshowbiz.com.

In the comics, John Stewart debuted in the early 1970s as the backup Green Lantern for Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner. He is an architect and former Marine who has a much more rigid personality and worldview than the arrogant Hal Jordan.

Ryan Reynolds previously played Hal Jordan in the 2011 movie "Green Lantern". It is still unknown who will play the new Green Lantern.
