London, April 19 (IANS): Chelsea's 1-0 victory against Manchester United was vital for its English Premier League title aspirations but there is still plenty of work to do before the season can be considered a real success, the team's winger Eden Hazard has said.
Hazard was, however, pleased with his team's home-win here on Saturday. He scored a first-half goal to seal victory for the league leaders that stretched their dominance in the tournament to 10 points at the top with 76 points from 32 matches.
Arsenal are second in the standings with 66 pints, ahead of Manchester United (65).
"When you win this game it is very important for the rest of the season," Hazard was quoted as saying by chelsea.com on Sunday.
"It is always good to win against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge and we are close to finishing the season and winning the trophy but it has not finished, we have to win two or three more games."
"It is close but it is not finished and when you play in the Premier League it is very difficult, and you never know in football," he added.
Hazard said he was pleased to score the winning goal but insisted he is just doing his job and that the league title was still not within the team's grasp.
"It is always good when you score at Stamford Bridge, and against Man United it is very good when the goal gives three points for the team," he said.
"It is my job. I try to score, I try to make assists and to create something for the team and in this game I did it very well, but we realise it is not finished."
The 24-year-old also praised the effort of young midfielder Kurt Zouma who made his presence felt during the match.
"He is very young, he is very strong and he is very important when he plays as a central defender or in midfield. He played very well and we deserved to win. This guy deserves to be one of the best."
