Berlin, April 17 (IANS): Hoffenheim head coach Markus Gisdol has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the club sitting at the seventh at the German Bundesliga table ahead of the visit to Munich this weekend.
"It was an easy decision, we've made giant strides in the past two years and I see huge potential," said the 47-year-old on Thursday, reports Xinhua.
Gisdol became Hoffenheim boss in April 2013 and salvaged the team from relegation after play-offs and guided the club to the Europa League with the ninth ranking last season.
Hoffenheim have collected 37 points from 28 league games this season, four points behind fifth-placed Schalke 04 before playing leaders Bayern Munich.
