Mumbai, Mar 2: Meeth Gala, who was riding his bike, fractured his nose after being hit by a water balloon

Meeth Gala (18), a first year commerce student from Somaiya College fractured his nose after a water balloon hit him at Pant Nagar, Ghatkopar. Meeth was riding home on his bike after a tuition class, when the incident took place.

“I was riding my bike and all of sudden, I felt something hard hit my nose. Initially, I thought it was a stone, as my nose started bleeding profusely. I was lucky I could hang on to the bike and didn’t fall off, as I was in the way of oncoming traffic,” said Meeth. Disoriented and in pain, the boy reached his home at Sainath Nagar, Ghatkopar.

“When I went home, I washed my face and noticed there was a gaping hole on the bridge of my nose,” said Meeth.

Meeth was immediately rushed to Dr Kamdar’s hospital in Ghatkopar (E) by his parents, where he underwent surgery on Monday.

Meet is now worried about his examination, which are scheduled for March 3.  “I am not able to study for the last five days because of this injury. But I will still give my examination and try to clear it,” said Meeth.
