Mumbai, Mar 1: The 27th of February saw great zest at ITC Grand Maratha, here, where the Kelvinator GR8 Women Awards were held. This was the 5 th year of the awards felicitating women from all walks of life, celebrating womanhood.

Said Anu Ranjan, Editor GR8, This is my favourite time of the year - the International Woman's Day. GR8 Has launched a campaign - BETI to help educate the country's population on the malpractice of female feoticide. On the one hand we worship goddess in 9 forms and on the other we kill our girl children in the wombs. So many of our girls are missing from our population. I urge all of you to fight this evil.

Sanjay Dutt gave the award away to Priyanka for her achievements in Bollywood while Saira Banu walked away with lifetime achievement award from Yukta mookhey. Mithun, Gulshan Grover, Yash Chopra, Karan Johar and Javed Akhtar also gave away awards to various woman entrepreneurs in different categories.
