On Saturday, the Vamadapadau I st Grade College, P U College and High School students under the leadership of Akila Bharata Vidyarthi Parishad got down to the roads demanding for justice.
Flashback: The previous Saturday a student of the P U College was traveling on an auto rickshaw to the college when the owner of a private bus and a few others assaulted him. The students in support of the students held the protest peacefully in front of the school. However the police had to resort to lathicharge to disperse the crowd.
Opposing the lathicharge by the police and demanding justice, the students held a silent protest. They even complained that their plea sent to district in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty and the deputy commissioner has fallen on deaf ears.
