Turkish referee shows 15 red cards in football match

Ankara, April 1 (IANS): A total of 15 players were red carded by a Turkish referee to expel them from the ground for involvement in a brawl during an amateur league football match.

Delayed reports suggest that the match was played on March 29, reports Xinhua.

In the 89th minute of the game between Yagcilar and Hamzabeyli, a brawl broke out between the players after a foul.

The players first argued with each other before the quarrel escalated into fisticuffs.

Referee Yasin Saygili brandished red cards to 15 players - seven of Yagcilar and eight of Hamzabeyli - before abandoning the game.

The referee was forced to abandon the match.

Yagcilar was leading 1-0 when the fracas began.
