Mumbai, Mar 25: Actor Shahid Kapoor who worked hard on 'Haider' and even shaved his head, was very happy that the movie bagged five national awards, while Anupam Kher was furious at Director Vishal Bhardwaj for dedicating the awards to Kashmiri pandits.
Actress Shraddha Kapoor who played Ophelia to Shahid's Hamlet said, "It will be nice to get a National Award. Every actor wants to get a National Award for one of his or her films in a lifetime," On learning of the awards, Shahid tweeted, "And Haider wins 5 at the national awards . So so so happy . Every one of them so well deserved . Proud . Big grin."
Actor Anupam Kher was angry at Vishal Bhardwaj and he tweeted his fury, "While I congratulate Vishal Bhardwaj for National Awards but dedicating them to #KashmiriPandits genocide is such a fraudish thing to do. When was last time Vishal Bhardwaj spoke about d plight of #KashmiriPandits? He in fact humiliated us by doing dance of devil at our temple."
Vishal Bharadwaj had, upon receiving the awards, said, "I dedicate my award to them and I feel very sad because they misunderstood my feelings. I have said it before that the tragedy of Kashmiri Pandits is very big."

Best Male playback Singer – Sukhwinder Singh
Best Costume Design – Dolly Ahluwali
