Mumbai, Mar 24: The teaser of Piku appears plain but is beautifully layered and gives the audience an almost revealing glimpse of the various myriad hues contained in the relationships shared by its principal characters.

Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irfaan Khan allow their viewers to sneak a peek at the roles that they have taken on in the film, while carrying on a dialogue with them almost making it seem a scene of an onstage enacted drama. Deepika declares the trailer of the film perfect and that she endorses the idea of releasing it. Amitabh is shown vehemently opposing this idea, and indignantly saying that releasing the trailer would mean revealing their family secrets.

Cut to Irfaan Khan who dons the mantle of one who is very much used to and quite tolerant of the tiffs that occur between the father-daughter (Amitabh and Deepika) duo. He just says, "there they go again..." in an almost bored voice.

Back to Deepika, who matter-of-factly states that their family secrets are anyway going to be known to everyone very soon, so she fails to see the point of delaying the inevitable. Amitabh just dismisses this line of argument and walks off with a disgusted, 'Nonsense' and walks away calling out for Piku.

The three actors proficiently show off their interpersonal chemistry in the teaser and in an almost blink and you miss kind of way. Amitabh has a inherent sort of Bengali accent to how he speaks. He also displays an adorable lack of patience for the arguments put forth by his off spring. Their dialogue shows the love they share as well as an all too common pull and tug sort of tension that between family members who are close. Irfaan Khan seems integral to the unit as well as aloof, in the sense that he is quite familiar with the relationship shared by the father and daughter while consciously choosing to not get involved.

The central plot of the story though is well under wraps.

All set to release on the 8th of May, 2015, it remains to be seen if the father daughter manage to wow the nation.
