New Delhi, March 21 (IANS): A Masterclass on various aspects on the history and legacy of Jack Daniel's distillery in US and the nuanced craft of making the premium whiskey brand, was held here on Saturday.
Chris Fletcher of Jack Daniel’s also launched the brand's renowned 'Friends of Jack' program in India.
Fletcher, from Jack Daniel's distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, shared his expertise over the liquor to an eager and enthusiastic crowd comprising of a large number of food and beverage (F&B) community enthusiasts.
He also presented a glimpse of his experiences at the distillery.
As suggested by the name 'Friends of Jack', the members form a bond with the brand. 'Friends of Jack' is an invite-based membership club for the F&B community wherein they can stay connected to the Jack Daniel's family of brands and participate in community activities.
The program gives access to an online community, wherein members can discover the distillery’s deep rooted heritage, learn how to make Jack Daniel’s inspired cocktails and take part in online competitions to win prizes.
“As a country, India has shown great love for the unique taste that Jack Daniel’s offers, making it the most popular American whiskey in its category and it gives us great pleasure to launch the 'Friends of Jack' program in the country,” Fletcher said in a statement.
Jack Daniel’s is one of the world’s most popular brands with a unique production process, carefully kept consistent for over 140 years at a single distillery in Lynchburg.
