Doha, Mar 19: In the 10TH IBQ Masters Cricket Tournament 2015 in division II Mitra Mandal finally got the better of Serandeep-B in a tightly contested match, winning by 4 wickets.
Winning the toss Mitra Mandal put in Serandeep-B to bat. Serandeep-B openers Nishanta 25 runs with 2 sixes and 2 boundaries and Ranasinghe 13 runs gave a good start. They were 67 for no loss at the end of 10 overs. However in a bid to accelerate Serandeep-B started losing wickets and finally totaled 134 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Prakash scored 19 runs with 1 six and a boundary, Jerome 18 runs with 2 sixes and Roshan 18 runs with a six.
Ajay bowled well to claim 3 wickets while Vinod, Bhushan and Abhijit took 2 wickets each while Pritesh claimed a wicket.
In reply Mitra Mandal started well and were 71 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the first 10 overs. However some good bowling and fielding by Serandeep-B left Mitra Mandal struggling at 121 runs for 7 wickets at the end of 18 overs. Needing 16 runs off 12 deliveries, Vinod hammered a six and a boundary off Bandulla to clinch the victory for Mitra Mandal in 19.3 overs. Vinod was not out on 28 runs with 2 sixes and a boundary. Pritesh was not out on 19 runs with 3 boundaries. Kunal not out on 16 runs with a six. Nishanta bowled well to claim 3 wickets while Roshan, Dilal and Chandana took a wicket each.
Nishanta was responsible for taking 3 catches which earned him the Man of the Match award.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by supporters and well wishers.
A Sri Lankan band added colour and glamour to the festivities. They were especially awarded gifts by the organizers. Over 300 prizes were given away to various players in the tournament.
The prize distribution ended with complimentary refreshments and a lucky draw for spectators.
