Udupi, Feb 13: ‘HOPE 07’ (Help Our People Exist), an annual charity fund raising event organised by Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA), Manipal will begin at Hotel Valley View lawn here on Sunday February 17.
Speaking to press persons here on Monday February 12, WGSHA administrator major general B N Kaul informed that the inter-collegiate event has been sponsored by Yamaha Roxx, Kingfisher Airlines and Syndicate Bank. Former Indian Idol winner Abhijeet Sawant has also donated a substantial amount, he added.
The event will include a host of competitions for students and sale of artistic exhibits along with food stalls.
The proceeds of the event will go to Shirdi Saibaba Cancer Research Hospital, Manipal, Mukti AIDS Foundation, an NGO based in Mumbai and other social work organisations, Kaul said.
