Mumbai, Feb 12: Ridhi Hegde the young sportsperson from the coastal twin districts, has won the state – level Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament – 2006, held at Kolhapur near here.
She also won the first place in the recently held Prabhodhan Inter School Sports Meet – 2006 lawn tennis in the 12 – 14 girls’ category.
Ridhi was the semi finalist at the All – India Championship Series Tennis Tournament – 2006 held at Hill Side Gymkhana by the Nasik District Tennis Association.
She also secured the first place in the 200 metres run, second place in the 100 metres run and third place in long jump, at the sports meet of Bombay Bunts Association Khalsa College, held recently.
Ridhi is the daughter of Ravi M Hegde, an entrepreneur in the city, hailing from Katpadi in Udupi district and Sujatha Hegde, hailing from Bajpe.
