Vidya Balan learns Kathak to emulate Suchitra Sen

Mumbai, Mar 17: Actress Vidya Balan who brought a lot of oomph with a pinch of spice in The Dirty Picture is said to be taking Kathak lessons to add more authenticity to her role as Suchitra Sen. All set to play an elegantly graceful Bengali belle, Vidya is still remembered for her screen scorching performance as the sultry southern siren, Silk Smitha.

Having many awards, Suchitra Sen mother of Moon Moon Sen is known for her contribution to the world of cinema in Bengali as well as Hindi. She is widely known for her finesse in the dance arena and especially so for Kathak. She carved a niche for herself with many an unforgettable performance in a career that spanned 27 years.

Vidya Balan had also been offered the chance to play out the life of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto as well as two other commercially inclined films. Presently completing her work on 'Hamari Adhuri Kahan' with her The Dirty Picture co-star Emraan Hashmi. Vidya, who has held the audiences enthralled in many of her movies, such as Paa, Ishqiya, Kahani and No One Killed Jessica, just might walk away with a few more hearts with a stunning performance in yet another biopic.
