Goa records second suspected swine flu death


Panaji, March 17 (IANS): Goa recorded its second suspected swine flu death, Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza said on Tuesday.

D’Souza said that a 79-year-old person died of the suspected H1N1 viral disease late Monday in Sanguem sub-district.

“In all out of the 95 tests conducted, 24 are positive as of today out of which there were two deaths,” D’Souza said, adding that the state had the capacity to treat 100 swine flu patients at one time.
