Mangalore, Feb 10: Close on the heels of Bihar Chief Minister inviting celebrated Cardiologist Dr B M Hegde to head State Health Society of Bihar, two other states have stepped in with similar offers.
Noticing the good work done in Bihar, Maharashtra government has nominated Dr B M Hegde as Advisor to Maharashtra Knowledge Commission Incorporated. Madhya Pradesh Government’s Health Minister has solicited Dr B M Hegde’s help to improve the health sector as in Bihar.
“I was in Bhopal with the Minister and health scenario is better than Bihar,”informed Dr Hegde and added that he is still mulling over the offer. Dr Hegde is also one among six eminent medical professionals handpicked up by Prime Minister’s Office for the PG Medical Education Board.
The committee which has already submitted a draft report will submit a final report after a meeting scheduled in New Delhi on March 11. Presently Dr Hegde is involved in ‘reinventing’ of Nalanda University plan.
