Mumbai, March 14 (MD): NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad today said he will bring a breach of privilege motion against Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for "misleading" the state Assembly on Maharashtra-Gujarat water sharing accord.
"Fadnavis claimed in the Assembly that not a single drop of water from Maharashtra will be given to Gujarat. The reality is that his government has entered into a secret deal with that state on water sharing," Awhad told reporters at Vidhan Bhawan.
"I have with me copy of an MoU dated May 3, 2010, bearing signatures of then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and his Maharashtra counterpart Ashok Chavan on the water sharing issue," Awhad told reporters at Vidhan Bhawan.
"I plan to bring a breach of privilege motion against Fadnavis for misleading the House," Awhad said.
