Nepali man arrested with drugs in Goa


Panaji, March 11 (IANS): The anti-narcotics cell of Goa police has arrested a Nepali national for possession of LSD and heroin worth more than Rs.5.5 lakh, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday.

The official said Nepali national Lama Chewang Pasang, 62, was arrested late on Tuesday night outside a cemetery, near Panaji, where he was waiting for a client for the contraband.

"The LSD and heroin seized from him are valued at more than Rs.5.5 lakh," the spokesperson said.

Goa, a well known beach tourism destination, is known for its night clubs and rave parties where use of party drugs like LSD, locally known as 'acid', is common.
