Margao, Feb 7: After the college students hit the roads of the capital city of Panaji demanding the computers under 'Cyber Age' scheme, on Thursday the "All Goa Computer Teachers' Association'' will take out a rally in the capital demanding confirmation of their jobs and salary hike.
In 2005, around 600 computer teachers had agitated to have their demands of getting confirmation and the salary hike fulfilled, for which they had gone on an indefinite hunger strike.
To resolve this issue, the government had assured them that their salary would be hiked from October 2006, and that their jobs would be confirmed subject to some conditions.
But the government had failed to provide them with the salary hike and confirmation of jobs, for which now the association has decided to agitate again with a view to having their demands met.
The rally would start from the KTC bus stand and wind up at Azad maidan, where they will hold a meeting to discuss the next plans of their agitation.
