Mumbai: Konkani singer Antony Tauro's 5-year-old son succumbs to cancer

Mumbai, Mar 9: Ashton Tauro, aged 5 years, son of noted Konkani singers Antony Tauro and Suchitha Tauro, passed away on March 9 after a brief illness at Tata hospital in Parel.

Ashton was a brilliant and multi-talented boy and was very popular in the community. His untimely death which came due to cancer has sent shockwaves among people who know the family. 

Ashton is survived by his parents and sister Ashlita.

Antony Tauro is of Koppa origin and his wife Suchitha hails from Kanajar. They have been residents of Mumbai for some years. Antony Tauro, a renowned Konkani composer and singer has presented many musical nites in Mumbai, Mangaluru and other places. He has also brought out a hit album named 'Mog Kone Dekla'.

Funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 10 at 4 pm at St Antony Church in Sakinaka.

    God saw this Tiny Angel getting tired, a cure not meant to be. So on 9th March, he put his arms around him at Tata Hospital and whispered, “Come with me.” “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14).     Shocking news. Just met Anthony Tauro on Friday 6th at Borivali. He sang well too. This Untimely death of blossom. We really lost a Konkani Kallo (Blossom) before it opened to the world. GOD bless his soul and give him eternal peace with his band of angels. We pay to almighty GOD enough strength to the family to bear this loss.
