Beltangady, Feb 5: A young man working in hotel at Dharmasthala near here was stabbed to death by unidentified men on Sunday February 4 morning.
The deceased has been identified as Prashanth (23), a resident of Kollahpur in Maharashtra. He had joined the hotel as cleaner only on January 29. On Sunday morning he was found in a pool of blood in drainage near Vijaya canteen in the Manjusha museum building. He has several wounds on his body after being stabbed by miscreants.
He was immediately admitted to hospital here. But the doctors advised him to be taken to better-equipped hospital in Mangalore. However, Prashanth breathed his last on the way.
So far no one has been identified as accused. However, all the hotel workers are being investigated by police team led by sub-inspector K K Ramakrishna.
