Beltangady, Feb 5: The Mahamastakabhisheka of Lord Bahubali drew to splendid end with Jain Samaj devotees from Mandya coming down all the way to anoint the statue with 1008 kalashas here on Sunday February 4.
Muni Shri Vardhamana Sagar and Dharmadhikari Dr Veerendra Hegde were felicitated on the occasion.
The highlight of the final day was the cultural programme at the Neeelanjana Hall in which cine star Hema Malini enthralled the crowd with a brilliant Bharatanatyam performance. ‘Geetha Namana’ by Vidwan Shringeri Nagaraj and party from Shimoga added to the crowd’s excitement.
It was a fitting end to a magnificent event that not only displayed spiritualism at its height but also spread the message of peace and harmony.
