Lisbon, March 7 (IANS): Porto beat Braga 1-0 on Saturday in the 24th round of the Portuguese soccer league at the Municipal Stadium in the northern Portuguese district of Braga.
Spanish forward Cristian Tello scored in the 72nd minute following a pass by Cameroon forward Vincent Aboubakar, and the former's effort went through goalkeeper Matheus Magalhaes' legs, Xinhua reported.
Both teams were weak in the first half, with the best scoring chance happening in the 7th minute when Braga forward Ze Luis' effort went wide.
Porto stands second in the Portuguese league with 58 points, a point behind league leaders Benfica who have not started playing in this round, while Braga stands fourth with 46.
