Bengaluru, Mar 1: After the booklets on the alleged land denotification scandal in the Arkavathi layout by opposition BJP and JD(S) parties, it is now the turn of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee to come out with its own booklet on Arkavathi land denotification issue.

The latest booklet published by the legal cell of KPCC, under the title 'Arkavathi: A Factual Report', has given a clean chit to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

The 18-page booklet compiled by KPCC Legal Cell and Human Rights Cell C M Dhananjaya, claimed that the opposition BJP and JD(S) were deliberately trying to mislead the public through 'politically motivated' false campaign.

Dhanajaya said the booklet was aimed at giving a clear picture to the people on the entire issue and copies would be distributed to all district Congress functionaries to explain the ground realities to the public.

Dhananjaya said the booklet would be submitted to the one man judicial commission headed H S Kempanna, which is probing alleged denotification of lands in the layout, on Monday.

The booklet said 198.20 acres had been denotified in the layout during the tenure of former Chief Ministers H D Kumaraswamy, the President Rule, B S Yeddyurappa and D V SadanandagaGowda.

He said there was no substance in Opposition’s charges against Siddaramaiah and charges had been levelled to dethrone him from the office.
