Mangaluru, Mar 1: "Hindus of Dakshina Kannada district are very alert. They believe deeply in God and follow their culture, they are very polite and everybody knows about this," said Sadhvi Balika Saraswati.
She was addressing reporters after her visit to the city's Kadri Manjunatha Temple here on Sunday March 1. She offered puja at the temple and sought blessings.
Sadhvi Balika Saraswati from Madhya Pradesh will be delivering the main address at the Virat Hindu Samajotsava to be held at Nehru Maidan the same evening.
On the Ghar Wapsi issue, Sadhvi said, "Ghar Wapsi is not a big issue as media is making it to be. Nobody speaks about convertion of Hindu people, but when it comes to Ghar Wapsi, everyone gets alerted. Doing Ghar Wapsi is not a bad thing. There are 100 crore Hindus and if we do Ghar Wapsi in the right manner then the population of our Hindus would be 125 crore."
She added, "All I want to say is that Hindus should be aware of the many issues happening in society like domination of western culture, increase in love Jihad, and conversion to other religions. Hindus are being divided, they are being slaughtered, and Bharat Mata is being criticized. Cow slaughter has to be stopped. I am going to speak about these issues at the Samajotsava."
Campco president Konkodi Padmanabha and other VHP members were also present.
