Panaji, Feb 28 (IANS): Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar Saturday described the budget for 2015-16 as "visionary", especially lauding the move to extend the Visa on Arrival (voa) facility to 150 countries.
"It is a visionary budget which has something for everyone," the chief minister said while reacting to the budget presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Lok Sabha.
Parsekar also thanked Jaitley for including the Old Goa heritage church complex, a Unesco World Heritage Site, in the budget's development plans.
He also said that Goa's tourism would benefit by the recommendation made in the budget to extend Voa facilities to 150 countries. "It is good news for tourism in Goa."
