Mangaluru, Feb 27: Three persons died and three others were injured in a ghastly serial accident at Nanthoor circle here on Friday February 27.
The accident occured after a tipper moving from Nanthoor towards Pumpwell reportedly suffered a brake fail and hit an electricity pole.

The tipper then smashed into an Alto car in which a family of four was travelling, and the car in turn hit a Pulsar bike.
A man, his wife and their two children were in the car. Among them, the lady died on the spot while others sustained serious injuries.
ACP (traffic) Udaya Nayak said that Veena (40), her daughter Nitisha (13) and Preetham (21) died in the accident. Among them Veena died on the spot. Veena was teacher at a central school in Panambur. Preetham Pinto from Kasargod was riding the bike.
Shwetha, who was riding pillion on the bike, sustained injuries to her leg.
The other two injured have been identified as Veena's husband Krishna (45) and their other daughter Nikita (10), who were in the car.
Krishna is the headmaster of the central school at Panambur. He is orginally from Adyanadka near Vittal and the family was statying at a quarters at Panambur. At the time of the accident, the family was travelling to Adyanadka, it is learnt.
Deceased Preetham Pinto was the son of Peter and Macreen Pinto, hailing from Narampady, Badiadka. He was the youngest among three children, and had planned to go abroad after studies. His parents stay abroad and had planned to come to their hometown on March 9.
The Alto car was completely smashed in the accident.
The tipper driver fled the spot.
A large crowd gathered and locals helped in shifting the injured to the hospital. Traffic was choked for sometime.
Kadri traffic police arrived at the spot.
