Mumbai, Feb 26: Sonam Kapoor has voiced that if she was a member of the jury deciding on the award winners, she would made sure that award went to Kangana for her stunning performance in 'Queen'.
In an interview, Sonam is reported to have said, "“The fact that I was nominated was more than enough for me. Kangana Ranaut gave a far more mature performance in Queen. Her role was far more resonant than mine. If I was a jury member, I’d give her the award.”
While Sonam was nominated for quite a few awards herself, it was Deepika Padukone who walked away with the Best Actor Female, Popular Choice award. Upon receiving her award, Deepika immediately dedicated it to Kangana Ranaut saying, “Thank you for this award but I really believe this year belonged to Kangana. So Kangana, this one’s for you.”
While many believed this was just a publicity stunt, there were others who agreed that the award did rightfully belong to Kangana whose performance in the movie Queen was widely liked by audiences.
