Why go to all this trouble? Why not ban tobacco all over the country? What is the use of banning of tobacco products sale in the 100 yards jurisdiction of education institutions? Students can walk for more then 100 yards!!!Display of boards stating ban of tobacco products sale in the 100 yards jurisdiction of education institutions and related display of boards explaining the same is funny, because there are a lot of uneducated people in Udupi!!! Would the police be able to educate people in one week? The corrupt police will have one more way to make money!!! The police are unable to curb crime in the city, now they have an extra burden to enforce ban of tobacco products. Tobacco products will now be sold in black near educational institutions, why not cancel licenses of shops that sell tobacco products?

By the time you alert the department about people violating the rules and they respond in their own sweet time the culprit would have walked away!
