Mangaluru, Feb 25: The new office of CREDAI, Mangaluru located in Empire Mall here was inaugurated on Wednesday February 25.
Mohammed Nazeer, Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) commissioner unveiled a plaque and the office was inaugurated by Nagraj Reddy, president of CREDAI Karnataka.
Pushparaj Jain, president CREDAI Mangaluru welcomed the gathering and said, "For any organization to work effectively, infrastructure is necessary. CREDAI Mangaluru has been doing a great job. But we did not have our own office, thus when we were looking for a space in a prime location, we found this office space in our own member Mohtisham's Empire Mall. This office space is worth Rs 2 crore but Mohtisham has provided it to us at Rs 1.5 crore. I thank all the dignitaries for their support and cooperation."
Mohammed Nazeer said, "Mangaluru is ahead in many sectors like education, health, transport and also in construction. Mangaluru has quality buildings as compared to other cities. CREDAI has been doing good work. If CREDAI joins hands with the goverment it can do great work for the society. Mangaluru has good connectivity but there are many barriers too, so CREDAI has to look into these matters and work towards finding solutions."
Nagraj Reddy said, "CREDAI has got its own house. This is another milestone for CREDAI Mangaluru. This office space is bigger than our Bengaluru office. All these years we have been building houses for others, but now we have our permanent address. There are a lot of opportunities in this office. Conference room can be used to conduct seminars for our members. I appreciate Mangaluru builders for their sustainability. I request other big builders not to disturb builders of Mangaluru as the market is very small. I invite builders from Mangaluru to come Bangaluru and build. We will give all the support."
Vote of thanks was proposed by Vinod Pinto, treasurer of CREDAI Mangaluru and Manohar Prasad compered the event.
Shri Ram, Jagadish Babu, P M A Razak, Ganesh Bangera, Siraj Ahmed, D B Mehta, Anil Nayak, Shreenath Hebbar, Sanath Shetty, Saud Ahmed and others were present at the occasion.
