Mangalore, Jan 25: A seminar on children’s literature in the district will be organised by Mangalore University Dr K Shivram Karanth chair on Wednesday January 31 and Thursday February 1 at the college premises.

The seminar will be inaugurated by writer Vaidehi while University vice-chancellor Prof K M Kaveriappa will preside.

Writers Mahabaleshwar Rao, Vani Periyodi, Mahalinga Bhat, C H Krishna Shastri Balila, B V Mahidas, Nempu Narasimha Bhat, Ajakkala Girish Bhat, B Janardhan Bhat and Na Damodar Shetty will speak on children’s literary works on the occasion the occasion.

Theatre artiste I K Boluwar and writer Vasanth Kumar Perla will address the gathering on topics related to children’s theatre. There will be an interaction session on the same topic with Palakala Seetharam Bhat, Jayamma B Chettimada and Mohan Sona as resource persons.

Children’s play ‘Mayakudure’ will be showcased by Nirata Nirantha children’s drama school artistes on Wednesday January 31 at 4.30 pm.
