New Delhi, Feb 13 (IANS): Singer Mohit Chauhan, who believes Delhi has the potential to be eye appealing and more, hopes Delhi Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal works towards improvement of the city.
Chauhan might be working in Mumbai, thanks to his successful music career, but he took out time to vote here on Feb 7 and is happy with Aam Aadmi Party’s leader Kejriwal’s victory.
And as Ramlila Maidan here gets ready for Kejriwal's swearing-in ceremony Saturday, Chauhan has already made a list of what he would like Kejriwal to do for the national capital.
“I am happy that he won. I have great expectations from him. I hope he makes Delhi a better place. I hope he restores Yamuna river like before.
“It would be nice to see him do something related to women’s safety in the city, hope he makes it more secured and under control, cleaner, greener and more eye appealing. Delhi has the potential,” Chauhan, who is in the capital to perform live Feb 22 at RED LiVE presents “Asli Rockstars” with Atif Aslam and Mohit Chauhan in Gurgaon, told IANS.
Before shifting base to Mumbai, Chauhan stayed in the capital in the 1990s and since then he has seen a lot of changes.
“Delhi has changed a lot. The city looks cleaner, there are many flyovers and metros. I enjoy coming to Delhi,” said the “Tum se hi” hitmaker, who might croon with Pakistan's singing sensation Atif Aslam in Gurgaon.
"We will do our own acts but we may get together on stage. I spoke to Atif yesterday and we discussed if we can do a song together. If that happens, it will be a nice experience... even for the audience," said Chauhan.
