Bantwal: Vittal police arrest one for illegal cattle transportation

Bantwal, Feb 12: The policemen of Vittal station in the taluk found that cattle was being transported illegally on a three-wheeler at Kukkebettu near Neerkaje in the taluk on Wednesday February 11.


The accused driver of the auto rickshaw in which a bullock was being transported has been identified as Abdul Rashid (30) from Mangilapadavu Kodange in Vittal Padnoor village.

Some people, after observing that a bullock was being taken towards Vittal from the direction of Punacha in the three-wheeler, passed on information to the police. They also stopped the vehicle at Kukkebettu near Neerkaje in Kepu village.

The police took into custody the driver as well as the three-wheeler, after observing that Rashid was carrying the animal in inhuman manner, and that he had no documents pertaining to the animal transportation. A case stands registered against him in Vittal station.
