Mumbai, Feb 5: Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor had taken the country by storm with the movie Jab We Met and are all set to repeat history, seven years later, with their upcoming movie Udta Punjab. Once in a relationship, the two are now coming together to work on a movie and have everyone wondering on the plausible awkwardness of creating sizzling chemistry on screen with an ex.
The actors however seem unconcerned, with Kareena even going as so far as to call entertaining such a thought to be silly. She is said, by a source, to be in a happy and comfortable space right now personally as well as professionally. She is therefore not bothered by who is cast opposite her, even if it is Shahid Kapoor and has no problems doing her work well.
Given Bollywood's propensity for breakups it is inevitable that many end up working with their ex-flames at least once and if the onscreen couple are liked by the audiences, directors flock to cast them together. Kareena is also said to be in director Rajkumar Gupta's next film in which she plays a schizophrenic girl. The movie is said to be based on real life events and to go on floors in April, 2015.
Kareena, now married to actor Saif Ali Khan, played a bubbly spontaneous girl Jab We Met to Shahid's pragmatic, rich businessman. It remains to be seen what they offer their fans and audiences in Udta Punjab. They had their audiences in thrall at the various trials and tribulations they landed themselves in, while realising their love for each other.
