London, Jan 30 (IANS): Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger Friday ruled out further arrivals at the English football club before the transfer window closes Monday.
Wenger revealed it was "very unlikely" anyone would follow Gabriel Paulista to the Emirates Stadium in the next four days following the defender’s 11.3 million pounds signing this week, reports The Daily Telegraph. Paulista played for Spanish club Villarreal before moving to Arsenal.
“If I wake up in the morning and somebody stands in front of my door and is an exceptional player, I will open the door. But it looks very unlikely now," Wenger said.
“I can give you my address if you want! Number-wise, we look all right now - and quality as well.”
That is despite an injury list which includes Alexis Sanchez, who Wenger admitted was “unlikely” to be risked for Sunday’s English Premier League match against Aston Villa.
Wenger confirmed his star forward faced a fitness test on a hamstring injury Saturday, which could also be when a decision is taken on Danny Welbeck’s involvement.
