Berlin, Jan 28 (IANS): Striker Didier Ya Konan has rejoined German football club Hannover 96 after six months at Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.
Ya Konan returned to his former club until the end of the season, the club announced Tuesday. The 30-year-old striker penned a contract until June 2015 with an option for another year, reports Xinhua.
"I'm coming home, it is a great feeling. It makes me proud to wear Hannover's outfit and to play for these supporters. I'm going to work hard on my comeback," Ya Konan said Tuesday.
He joined the Bundesliga club in 2009, scoring 39 goals in 125 appearances.
"He has exceptional skills as a striker. We will work with him on his fitness to add an alternative to our offense. With him we increase the quality of our squad," Hannover coach Tayfun Korkut said.
Hannover are currently eighth in the standings.
