Goa hosts fest with Indian, Russian musicians

Candolim (Goa), Jan 25 (IANS): ZimaFest - India's newest live musical festival - began on a high note here and saw an amalgamation of Indian and Russian DJs and bands.

Aimed at strengthening the bond between the two nations with the help of music, the fest, which started Saturday, saw performances by Russian artistes like Dolphin and Victoria Mescalito (Soma Project).

The event also included performances by some Indian bands including Parikrama and Bhavishyavani Future Soundz featuring M. Mat.

The two-day festival is touted to deliver a wider repertoire of sounds and a soulful confluence of music, energy and food.

The festival was launched as "Great Live Music" in 2013, where the spotlight was on musical talent across genres.
