Maharashtra CM asks youths to develop employability skills


Hyderabad, Jan 12 (PTI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today appealed to youths to develop skills that will boost their employment prospects.

Every youth in the country should acquire skills required for gaining employment thus leading to overall development of the country, he said while participating in ‘Sankranti’ celebrations organised by a philanthropic trust run by Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu’s family members in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

Noted Telugu actor and Janasena Party founder Pavan Kalyan also attended the function.



Naidu said on the occasion the country can take its rightful place in the comity of nations.

Appreciating Pavan Kalyan, the Union Minister said though he was not in the habit of watching films but he recently watched a film of the former thrice without planning to do so.

Naidu said late N T Rama Rao and another veteran Telugu film personality and Dadasaheb Phalke-awardee Akkineni Nageswara Rao are like two eyes to the Telugu film industry whereas actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi is the third eye.

Kalyan, whose campaign in support of BJP-TDP combine in AP is believed to be one of the major reasons for its success in the 2014 elections, highlighted the ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign of the NDA government.

‘Sankranti’, the harvest festival, will be celebrated on January 14, 15 and 16. State Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, state unit BJP president and Visakhapatnam MP K Haribabu are among others who attended the event.
