Los Angeles, Jan 8 (IANS): Veteran “60 Minutes” host Steve Kroft has opened up about his secret three-year fling with a New York City lawyer.
"I had an extramarital affair that was a serious lapse of personal judgment and extremely hurtful to my wife and family. And for that, I have nothing but regret,” people.com quoted Kroft as saying.
"My wife and I are committed to each other and are working hard to get past this, and consider it a private matter,” he added.
The National Enquirer first reported the infidelity, claiming Kroft initially met 41-year-old lawyer Lisan Goines, who's also married, at the St. Regis hotel bar in Manhattan back in 2011.
The longtime news correspondent married author and journalist Jennet Conant in 1991 and famously confronted Bill Clinton over his womanising during the former president's 1992 election campaign.
