Mumbai, Dec 15: The Jnana Mandara Educational and Cultural Academy organized ‘Mumbai Darshana’ programme, at the Dr Visweswarayya auditorium of the Karnataka Sangha, Mumbai at Matunga here as part of Suvarna Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations.

Nearly 75 children from other states were presented with the ‘Jnanashree Aralu Mallige’ award. Several organizations and noted personalities were also honoured with awards on the occasion. The programme was inaugurated by Shivananda Shivayogi Swami who also gave away the awards.

Former minister Motamma presided over the programme. Former minister Leeladevi R Prasad was the chief guest while Mumbai BJP South India unit president L V Amin, Billawa Association, Mumbai honorary chief secretary Nityananda D Kotian, MLA Jagannath Shetty, businessman Diwakar Shetty, Karnataka government chief executive officer Dr C Somashekar, Academy director H Somashekar, G D Joshi and Dr Sadanand R Shetty, were the special invitees.

Several cultural groups presented programmes on the occasion.
