London, Dec 30 (IANS): English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion confirmed the sacking of manager Alan Irvine due to the team's continuing poor results.
Assistant head coach Rob Kelly will temporarily take charge of the team and the permanent successor may be announced this weekend, reports Xinhua.
West Brom won one of their last nine games and are 16th at the halfway point, just one point clear of the relegation zone.
Kelly should lead West Brom against West Ham United Thursday.
