About the winning films:

'Me and You': Directed by Mary Ann D'Souza.

This film highlights the concept of the East meeting the West, wherein the lives of a foreigner and a local were portrayed simultaneously, showing their way of living. While there are many contrasting comparisons made between the life of the foreigner and that of the local, finally they realize their stand and return to their domains.

'Ehsaas': Directed by Rajtilak Naik

This film has the basic idea of friendship, Wherein a true friend could be anyone. It could be a tree, a river, a book or a night (like in this film). It is not necessery that only a man can become a good freind of a man. In fact it could just be anything living or dead. Accordingly, in  this film a person finds his true friend in the form of a 'Nnght' with whom he shares his feelings.

'Between You and Me': Directed by Raajiv Shinde

This film is based on corruption. A government officer is portrayed as a truly upright man in the beginning. But as the film progresses even he becomes a victim of the corrupt system. But finally the message emerges that someone somewhere should either stop giving or stop accepting bribe.

The panel of jury for the competition consisted of noted film-maker Jabbar Patel, Marathi film-maker Gajendra Ahire and Goan film-maker Dharmanand Vernekar.

This competition was one of the steps aimed at building up the lost film culture in the state.
