Mumbai, Dec 24 (IANS): I-League football side Mumbai FC Wednesday confirmed the signing of midfielders Amoes and Reisangmei Vashum for the 2014-15 season.
Vashum is an experienced players having previously played for Churchill Brothers, East Bengal and Pune FC while Amoes became the second player after Sampath Kutty Mani to join Mumbai FC from reigning I-League champions Bengaluru FC.
Vashum, who will sport the number seven jersey expressed his excitement at signing for the Mumbai side.
"It’s an exciting city. I know there are a lot of football fans in the city and I look forward to seeing them at the Cooperage Stadium. The club has a fantastic coaching staff and a great set of players. I can’t wait to play with them during the season ahead,” the 26-year-old said in a release.
Amoes also shared similar sentiments. He will wear the number 21 jersey.
“Mumbai FC is a fantastic opportunity for me to showcase my abilities. My aim is to learn as much as I can and prove my worth. This will be my first professional stint outside my city (Bengaluru) and I am really really looking forward to it," the 20-year-old said.
