Mumbai, Dec 24: “Including new businessmen and finding new upcoming businessmen in the organization is praiseworthy. I had started the chamber one and half decades ago and I thank for having invited me for the organization day. The membership of 600 members is proof enough that the aim of the association is fulfilled. As the membership increases, the experience also increases”, said former police commissioner of Mumbai metro and present director of Model Cooperative Bank Ltd Rony H Mendonca.
The youth wing of Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industries held Christmas celebration 2014 at Hotel Kohinoor Continental hall at J B Nagar at Andheri east on Sunday night December 21. Rony Mendonca participated as chief guest and gave Christmas message saying that it is necessary to maintain harmony among neighbors. “We can achieve great things by peaceful coexistence. Do not climb the steps of law due to your ego. Forget the lapses of each other and live in peace. Say goodbye to the life of hatred. May all the members get love, peace and comfort to achieve improvement in their respective businesses”, he said. He wished merry Christmas and happy new year to all.
"It has brought joy that the CCCI is completing fifteen years with the cooperation of the its members. It has brought about the development of the society. Besides metros and suburbs, businessmen from Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Maharastra and people from inside and outside the country have become members of the organization. The organization has achieved many things. There are opportunities to learn information, networking, programs and such other things in it. The youth also works along with us. CCCI will be sharing its experience with colleges also in the future," said founder president Vincent Mathais.
Honorary president businessman Walter Viera conveyed his best wishes.CCCI founder president Vincent Mathais, Vice president John D' Silva, Albert W D' Souza and John Mathew were present on the dais.
Christian chamber executive president Henry Lobo welcomed and praised the efforts of Vincent Mathais for his unstinting efforts for the founding of the association and the unity of businessmen and informed the significance of 15th founder's day. He also explained the importance and aim of the celebration of Christmas and conveyed his best wishes.
Philomena H Lobo and Henry Lobo presented flower bouquets to the guests. Dr Richard Pereira introduced the guests and compered the programme. Romy Furtado conducted games coupled with programmes to strengthen the relationship. There were comedy skits, dance and Christmas carols. CCCI executive secretary Felix D' Souza presented awards to the winners. Agnello Rajesh Athaide proposed Vote of thanks.
