Sony removes 'The Interview' from social media

Los Angeles, Dec 22 (IANS): After scrapping plans to release “The Interview” on Christmas, bosses at Sony Pictures Entertainment have wiped all traces of the film from its social media pages after hackers asked them to do so.

A group of hackers, who call themselves Guardians of Peace, threatened top level Sony executives Friday, “We want everything related to the movie, including its trailers, as well as its full version down from any website hosting them immediately”, reports tmz.com.

The studio immediately responded to the demand and deleted the movie's offcial page from various social platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube page.
