Mumbai, Dec 19: 'Lunchbox' creates history by bagging the coveted Toronto Film Critics Award 2014 and thereby becoming the only Indian movie to get this prestigious award. It also got the critics week, viewer's choice award at the Cannes film festival last year.

Recounting a saga of an evocative love story between a lonely housewife and a retired widower, thanks to a wrongly delivered lunchbox, the movie seems to have captured the hearts of many. Initially, Ritesh Batra had set out to make a movie that told the story of the Dabbawallas of Mumbai who are celebrated bunch for delivering a million or so lunchboxes, with only one or so mistake if ever. The story unfolds in letters that the two principle characters exchange within the lunch box.

Ritesh Batra has previously made short films like 'The Morning Ritual', 'Cafe Cairo' and 'Gareeb Nawaz's Taxi'.
