Lisbon, Dec 15 (IANS): Lima scored twice to help Benfica beat FC Porto 2-0 at the Dragao Staidum in north Portugal's Porto in the 13th round of the Portuguese League.
Lima scored in the 36th minute with a header and again in the 56th when he converted a rebound Sunday night, reports Xinhua.
This was Benfica's first victory against Porto at the Dragao Stadium since 2005.
Benfica sit at the top of the league with 34 points while Porto, which lost for the first time in 13 rounds, are second with 28 points.
Also Sunday, Sporting Lisbon were held to a 1-1 draw by Moreirense FC at the Alvalade Stadium here.
Ramon Cardozo opened the scoring for Moreirense in the 35th minute with a header following a cross by Arsenio. Fredy Monteiro equalised in the 90th with assistance by Slimani.
Sporting now on fifth place in the league with 24 points, four points behind Porto and 10 points behind leaders Benfica.
In other matches, Vitoria Guimaraes were held to a 1-1 draw by Rio Ave and CS Maritimo drew 0-0 with Estoril Praia.
