Adelaide, Dec 13 (IANS): India were 205 for two at tea, needing 159 more runs to register a win on the fifth and final day of the first Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval here Saturday.
An unbeaten 148-run partnership between captain Virat Kohli (batting 82) and opener Murali Vijay (batting 85) helped the visitors close in on the 364-run target.
India amassed 100 runs in the session without losing a single wicket and will hope the current pair at the crease can take them to victory with just the final session of the day to play.
